Laura Garcia is an urban planner and designer at WeLoveTheCity. During her work in Bogotá (Colombia) she was captivated by the energy of local initiatives and how they work through a social and ecological approach towards a healthier, safer and richer life in the city. She joined various foundations focusing on the fringe of city and nature. This experience made her gain interest in participatory planning and governance as part of urban design. She graduated in Master of Science in Urbanism at Delft University of Technology in 2016. In her work Laura focuses on ownership, sustainability and the management of outdoor space, like she does at Culturele Buitenplaats de Hoorneboeg in Hilversum where she supervises the development of an ecological landscape plan.
